The IFX9201SG is an Infineon AEC-Q100 qualified integrated 4-half-bridge motor driver IC. Operating from 5.5V to 35V, it delivers up to 6A peak per half-bridge with 200mΩ total on-resistance. The device supports both SPI and PWM control interfaces, providing flexibility for automotive DC and stepper motor applications. Comprehensive diagnostics and protection include over-temperature, over-current, short-circuit, open-load detection, and cross-current protection.

The IFX9201SG integrates four half-bridge power stages, each consisting of a high-side and low-side N-channel MOSFET pair. The SPI interface allows individual bridge configuration, diagnostic register readout, and fault reporting. In PWM mode, the IN1-IN4 pins directly control the bridge outputs. Each half-bridge can be independently configured as high-side, low-side, or half-bridge mode. The current sense amplifier provides proportional output current measurement. Protection circuits continuously monitor for over-temperature, over-current, and short-circuit conditions, automatically disabling the affected bridge when a fault is detected.
