The GCM1555C1H180JA16D is a multilayer ceramic capacitor using C0G (Class I) titanium dioxide-based dielectric. Unlike X7R/X5R Class II dielectrics, C0G exhibits essentially zero temperature coefficient of capacitance (+/-30 ppm/C from -55C to +125C), no voltage coefficient (no DC bias dependence), and no aging. This makes it the ideal choice for applications where capacitance must remain constant regardless of operating conditions. The 18pF value with +/-5% tolerance is commonly used as crystal oscillator load capacitors (CL), where the exact capacitance directly affects oscillation frequency. The high Q factor (>1000 at 1 MHz) and self-resonant frequency above 2 GHz make it suitable for RF matching networks in the sub-GHz to GHz range.
