The NXP FS32K144HFT0VLLR is an extended-temperature automotive microcontroller from the S32K144 family, qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade V for operation from -40 °C to +125 °C. Built on the ARM Cortex-M4F core running at 80 MHz, it combines 512 KB Flash and 64 KB SRAM with a rich peripheral set optimized for automotive and industrial control. The device integrates three FlexCAN modules with CAN FD support, a 24-channel 12-bit ADC, an 8-bit DAC, and the CSEc hardware security module. Its extended temperature range makes it suitable for under-hood applications, powertrain-adjacent modules, and industrial environments with elevated ambient temperatures. Like all S32K1 family devices, it is backed by NXP’s 15-year product longevity program.

The FS32K144HFT0VLLR shares the same core architecture as the HAT0 variant but with Grade V temperature qualification. The ARM Cortex-M4F core executes instructions from on-chip Flash with an optional 4-line prefetch buffer and 1 KB Flash cache to minimize wait states. The 64 KB SRAM is partitioned for flexible allocation between application code, stack, and DMA buffers. Three FlexCAN modules support classic CAN and CAN FD, with one module configurable for CAN FD with bit rate switching. The 24-channel 12-bit SAR ADC can be hardware-triggered by the FlexTimer or PDB module for precise sampling synchronization with PWM-driven motor control loops. The 8-bit DAC provides a programmable reference voltage for comparator threshold generation. Low-power modes reduce current to microampere levels while maintaining CAN bus monitoring for remote wake-up.
