The CP2102N-A02-GQFN28 is a Silicon Labs USB-to-UART bridge controller, A02 variant with different GPIO configuration from A01. It shares the same core features: USB 2.0 full-speed, up to 3 Mbps UART, integrated transceiver and oscillator, 1 KB OTP, and 4 configurable GPIO. Packaged in 28-pin QFN (5×5 mm), -40C to +85C.

The CP2102N-A02-GQFN28 is a Silicon Labs USB-to-UART bridge controller, A02 variant with a different GPIO default configuration compared to the A01 variant. It provides USB 2.0 full-speed to UART conversion with data rates up to 3 Mbps, requiring no firmware development. The integrated USB transceiver, clock oscillator, and voltage regulator minimize external components. The 1 KB OTP configuration memory allows custom USB descriptors (VID/PID, product strings). The A02 variant pre-configures GPIO pins with different default functions suited for specific application scenarios. USB Battery Charger Detection per BCS 1.2 is included. Royalty-free VCP drivers support Windows, macOS, and Linux. Packaged in 28-pin QFN (5×5 mm).

The CP2102N-A02 operates identically to the A01 variant. The USB device controller handles enumeration, flow control, and protocol management. The 48 MHz internal oscillator provides the USB clock. The UART controller supports baud rates up to 3 Mbps with configurable data format. The 1 KB OTP stores custom USB descriptors programmed once during manufacturing. The A02 variant differs only in GPIO pin pre-configuration (default functions and pull-up/down states), which can be further customized through the Silicon Labs configurator tool before OTP programming.

Same 28-pin QFN pinout as CP2102N-A01: D+/D-, VBUS, VREGIN, VDD, GND, TX, RX, RTS, CTS, DTR, DSR, GPIO.0-GPIO.3 (A02 default config), RSTb, SUSPEND/SUSPENDB. Refer to datasheet for complete 28-pin mapping and A02 GPIO default assignments.
