The BTS50452EKAXUMA1 is a dual-channel smart high-side power switch from Infineons PROFET+ 12V family, designed for automotive lamp and LED driving applications. Each channel features a 45mOhm N-channel vertical power MOSFET with charge pump, providing 3A nominal load current. The device includes comprehensive protection functions including current limitation, overtemperature shutdown with auto-restart, short-circuit protection, and open-load detection. The diagnostic IS pin provides a current proportional to the load current for real-time monitoring. The device is AEC-Q100 qualified and supports 3.3V/5V logic inputs.

The BTS50452EKAXUMA1 uses N-channel vertical power MOSFETs with integrated charge pumps for high-side switching. Each channel is independently controlled via logic input pins. The charge pump generates the gate voltage above the supply rail to fully enhance the MOSFET. Current sensing is implemented through a sense FET ratio (kILIS), where a small proportion of the load current is mirrored to the IS pin for diagnostics. The diagnostic enable (DEN) and channel select (DSEL) pins multiplex the sense information. Protection circuits include current limiting, overtemperature detection with hysteresis, and reverse battery protection.
