The AT27C512R-70JU is a 512Kbit one-time programmable EPROM manufactured by Microchip Technology using high-performance CMOS technology. Organized as 64K words by 8 bits, this device provides reliable non-volatile storage for program code, lookup tables, and configuration data. With a fast 70ns access time, it is suitable for a wide range of microprocessor-based systems requiring quick access to stored data. The OTP programming uses a 13V supply voltage for data writing, while normal operation requires only a 5V supply. The device features low power consumption and data retention exceeding 10 years, making it a dependable choice for embedded and industrial applications.

The AT27C512R-70JU operates as a parallel-access non-volatile memory device. (1) The address input subsystem accepts a 16-bit address (A0-A15) to select one of 65,536 byte locations within the memory array. (2) The memory cell array uses floating-gate EPROM transistors that store charge permanently after OTP programming at 13V, with each cell representing one data bit. (3) The output subsystem drives 8 data lines (O0-O7) with the contents of the addressed location after the specified access time of 70ns. An active-low chip enable (CE) and output enable (OE) control the tri-state output buffers, allowing the device to share a common data bus with other peripherals in a microprocessor system.
