The ADuM1401ARWZ-RL is an Analog Devices quad-channel digital isolator with 3/1 channel directionality based on iCoupler technology. It provides 2500 V RMS isolation with data rates up to 150 Mbps (max). The device operates from 2.7 V to 5.5 V on both sides and is packaged in a 16-lead wide-body SOIC rated for -40°C to +125°C.

The ADuM1401ARWZ-RL is an Analog Devices quad-channel digital isolator providing 2500 V RMS galvanic isolation between two independent voltage domains. The 3/1 channel directionality supports three forward channels and one reverse channel, ideal for bidirectional communication buses such as SPI (MOSI, SCLK, CS forward, MISO reverse). Based on iCoupler magnetic isolation technology, it achieves data rates up to 150 Mbps with >25 kV/µs common-mode transient immunity. Both sides operate from 2.7 V to 5.5 V, supporting level translation between different voltage domains. The device is safety certified to UL 1577, CSA, and VDE standards.

The ADuM1401 operates using iCoupler technology, which combines high-speed CMOS with monolithic air-core transformers. Each isolation channel encodes input logic transitions into short pulses that are magnetically coupled across the isolation barrier through the integrated transformer. The receiving side decodes these pulses back into logic levels, with a refresh mechanism ensuring DC correctness even when no transitions occur. The 3/1 channel directionality provides three channels from side 1 to side 2 and one channel from side 2 to side 1, enabling bidirectional communication. The internal regulation allows each side to operate independently from 2.7 V to 5.5 V.
