The DMP4065S-7 is a P-channel enhancement-mode MOSFET from Diodes Incorporated in SOT-23-6, rated at -40V drain-source voltage and -4.5A drain current with 58mOhm RDS(on) at VGS=-10V. The dual-source/dual-gate/dual-drain pinout in SOT-23-6 reduces parasitic inductance and distributes current across two parallel bond wires, improving current handling and thermal performance compared to SOT-23-3. As a P-channel MOSFET, it turns on when the gate voltage is pulled below the source (VGS < Vth, typically -1.5V threshold). The low 58mOhm RDS(on) minimizes conduction losses in load-switch and battery-disconnect applications. P-channel MOSFETs are preferred for high-side switching because no gate voltage above the supply rail is needed (unlike N-channel which requires a charge pump). The -40V rating supports 2S-3S Li-Ion battery packs and 24V industrial rails.
