The DLPA3005DPFDR from Texas Instruments is a highly integrated power management IC optimized for DLP Pico projector systems using the DLP4710 (0.47 1080p) DMD. It combines a high-current RGB LED driver supporting up to 16A per LED with five integrated buck converters and two LDOs. The device generates all DMD high-voltage supplies (VBIAS, VRST, VOFS) and provides comprehensive system power management through an SPI interface. An 8-bit programmable buck converter can drive cooling fans or provide auxiliary power rails.

The DLPA3005DPFDR integrates multiple power subsystems coordinated through SPI. The RGB LED driver uses external buck FETs in a current-regulated topology with 10-bit programmable current and external RGB switches for color sequencing synchronized to DMD micromirror states. Five buck converters generate system rails: two for DLPC343x supplies, one for DMD high-voltage (VBIAS, VRST, VOFS), one 8-bit programmable for fans, and one general-purpose. The SPI interface provides register-level control of all power blocks, current settings, and sequencing.
