The AD8605ARTZ-REEL7 from Analog Devices is a single-channel precision CMOS operational amplifier in a compact SOT-23-5 surface-mount package. The device combines ultra-low input offset voltage (45 µV typical), low offset drift (0.5 µV/°C), low voltage noise (4.8 nV/√Hz at 1 kHz), and sub-pA input bias current (0.2 pA typical) in a rail-to-rail input/output architecture. The 5.5 MHz gain-bandwidth product and 3 V/µs slew rate support a wide range of precision signal conditioning applications while consuming only 850 µA supply current from a 2.7 V to 5.5 V single supply. The SOT-23-5 package minimizes board area for space-constrained designs. The REEL7 suffix indicates 3000-unit tape and reel packaging. The AD8605 is part of a family that includes the dual AD8606 and quad AD8608 variants.

The AD8605ARTZ uses a proprietary DigiTrim CMOS process with post-package trimming to achieve the 45 µV typical offset voltage. The input stage uses a folded-cascode architecture with rail-to-rail input common-mode range achieved by paralleling N-channel and P-channel input pairs. A transition region exists between the two pairs (approximately 1.5 V below VDD), but DigiTrim minimizes the offset shift across this region. The output stage uses a common-source PMOS driver with active pull-up, achieving rail-to-rail output swing within millivolts of both supply rails at light loads. The 4.8 nV/√Hz voltage noise is among the lowest for CMOS amplifiers, achieved through careful design of the input pair geometry and bias current optimization. The internal compensation provides stable unity-gain operation with capacitive loads up to several hundred picofarads.
