The ADUC812BSZ-REEL is a MicroConverter (precision analog microcontroller) from Analog Devices in 52-PLCC, integrating an 8052-compatible MCU core with a 12-bit 8-channel ADC and dual 12-bit DACs. The 8052 core runs at 12.58MHz with single-cycle instruction fetches (most instructions in 1-2 machine cycles of 12 clocks). The 12-bit SAR ADC achieves 200kSPS throughput on 8 multiplexed input channels with +/-1 LSB INL. An on-chip 2.5V bandgap reference eliminates external reference components. The two 12-bit DACs provide voltage outputs with rail-to-rail swing. The ADC and DAC can be triggered by Timer 2 overflow for precise periodic sampling at up to 200kSPS. The 8KB Flash stores user code, with an additional 640B data Flash for parameter storage. The 256B indirect RAM and 256B direct RAM supplement the 8052 internal RAM. On-chip debug support allows breakpoints and register inspection via the standard UART. The device targets precision measurement and control: weigh scales, 4-20mA transmitters, and battery monitoring systems.
