The AD9681BBCZ-125 is an octal, 14-bit, 125 MSPS analog-to-digital converter with serial LVDS outputs designed for low cost, low power, and small footprint. It integrates eight ADC channels with on-chip sample-and-hold circuits in a compact 10mm x 10mm CSP-BGA package. Each channel consumes only 110mW at 125 MSPS. The device requires a single 1.8V supply and supports LVPECL/CMOS/LVDS-compatible clock inputs. Data clock outputs (DCO) and frame clock outputs (FCO) support double data rate (DDR) operation up to 500MHz.

The AD9681 employs a pipelined ADC architecture where each of the eight channels consists of a multi-stage pipeline converter. The analog input is sampled by an on-chip sample-and-hold circuit and quantized through successive pipeline stages. The digital output is serialized and transmitted via LVDS pairs. The SPI interface allows configuration of power-down modes, test pattern generation, and clock/data alignment. Individual channel power-down is supported to reduce power consumption when fewer channels are needed.
