The XC3S400A-4FTG256C is a Spartan-3A FPGA from AMD (formerly Xilinx), fabricated on a 90nm process. It features 400K system gates (8,064 logic cells), 360 Kb distributed RAM, 288 Kb block RAM, 16 dedicated 18×18 multipliers, and up to 195 user I/Os. Packaged in a 256-pin FineLine BGA (FTG256), the -4 speed grade is the fastest commercial variant. Spartan-3A is optimized for cost-sensitive, high-volume applications.
