The ULN2003D1013TR from STMicroelectronics is a high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array containing seven open-collector Darlington pairs with common emitters. Each channel is rated at 500mA and can withstand peak currents of 600mA. Suppression diodes are included for inductive load driving, and the inputs are pinned opposite the outputs to simplify board layout. The ULN2003 version interfaces directly with 5V TTL and CMOS logic, featuring built-in 2.7kΩ input series resistors.

Each of the seven channels in the ULN2003D1013TR consists of a Darlington pair (two cascaded NPN transistors) providing high current gain (hFE ≥ 1000). The built-in 2.7kΩ input series resistor allows direct connection to TTL/CMOS logic outputs without external current-limiting components. The open-collector output sinks current from the load to ground when the input is driven high. Integral clamp diodes connected between each output and a common COM pin suppress back-EMF when switching inductive loads such as relays and motors, protecting the Darlington transistors from damage.
