The TXS0108ERGYR from Texas Instruments is an 8-bit bidirectional voltage-level translator that uses two separate configurable power-supply rails. The A port tracks VCCA (1.4V-3.6V) and the B port tracks VCCB (1.65V-5.5V), enabling bidirectional translation between common logic levels (1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V) without direction-control signals. With data rates up to 110Mbps in push-pull mode and 1.2Mbps in open-drain mode, it supports I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, and SDIO interfaces in a compact 20-VQFN package.

The TXS0108E uses pass-transistor-based translation with integrated edge-rate accelerators and auto-direction sensing. Each channel consists of a pair of nMOS pass transistors that connect the A and B ports through a common node. The edge-rate accelerators (one-shot circuits) briefly turn on the pass transistors strongly during transitions to speed up edge rates, then reduce drive to prevent bus contention. For open-drain applications, internal pull-up resistors on both ports maintain the high state. The OE input disables all outputs by placing them in Hi-Z state when driven low.
