The TPS74801DRCR is a 1.5A low-dropout linear regulator from Texas Instruments designed for very low input voltage and ultra-low dropout applications. The adjustable output ranges from 0.8V to 3.6V with 1.3% accuracy. A separate bias input (2.7V-5.5V) powers the internal control circuitry, enabling the main input to operate as low as 0.8V while maintaining excellent transient performance. The dropout voltage is only 60mV typical at 1.5A with a 5V bias supply. Programmable soft-start via an external capacitor ensures monotonic startup and controlled inrush current. The power-good output monitors the output voltage for sequencing downstream supplies. An internal 833Ω pulldown resistor discharges the output when the device is disabled.
