The TPS62095RGTR uses Texas Instruments’ DCS-Control (Direct Control with Seamless transition) topology combining voltage-mode and current-mode control. In PWM mode at heavy loads, the device operates at a fixed 1.4MHz switching frequency with current-mode control for precise regulation. At light loads, it seamlessly transitions to power save mode with reduced switching frequency while maintaining output regulation. The 100% duty cycle capability allows the high-side switch to stay on continuously when the input voltage approaches the output, minimizing dropout. The adjustable soft-start controls output voltage ramp-up, and the power good output indicates regulation status. Output tracking allows coordinated power sequencing with other rails.
