The TPS3106K33DBVR from Texas Instruments is a dual-voltage supervisor with ultra-low 1.5 µA supply current designed for monitoring two supply rails simultaneously. It provides a fixed 3.3 V (±5%) threshold for monitoring the main logic supply and an adjustable threshold (0.55 V reference) for monitoring a secondary supply. The integrated watchdog timer monitors processor activity and asserts reset if the software fails to toggle the WDI pin within the timeout period. A manual reset (MR) input allows push-button reset capability. The active-low open-drain reset output is asserted during power-up, power-down, brownout, and watchdog timeout conditions with a 200 ms reset timeout. The SOT-23-6 package enables compact PCB layouts.

The TPS3106K33DBVR monitors two voltage rails continuously using precision comparators. The fixed 3.3 V threshold (SENSE1) uses an internal resistor divider to set the trip point at 3.3 V -5%. The adjustable threshold (SENSE2) compares an external voltage against a 0.55 V internal reference. When either monitored voltage falls below its threshold, or when the manual reset (MR) pin is pulled low, the reset output is asserted (pulls low). The 200 ms reset timeout keeps the output asserted for a minimum period after all fault conditions clear. The watchdog timer monitors the WDI pin; if no transition occurs within the timeout period (set by an external capacitor on the WDO pin), the reset output is asserted. The ultra-low 1.5 µA supply current makes the device suitable for always-on battery-powered systems.
