The TPS22915BYFPR operates as an integrated load switch with four key functional blocks: 1) N-Channel MOSFET: The main switching element connects VIN to VOUT when enabled, with a low 37mohm on-resistance at 5V. The gate drive is internally generated to ensure full enhancement of the MOSFET. 2) Controlled Slew Rate: The gate drive voltage is ramped at a controlled rate, producing a rise time of approximately 64us (B version) at 3.3V, which limits the inrush current into downstream capacitors and prevents supply voltage droop. 3) Quick Output Discharge (QOD): When the switch is disabled, an integrated 143-ohm pulldown resistor connects the output to ground, rapidly discharging any load capacitance and ensuring a clean power-down. 4) Control Logic: The ON pin accepts low-voltage GPIO signals (compatible with 1V logic), enabling direct control from modern low-voltage processors.
