The TMP275AIDR from Texas Instruments is a 0.5C accuracy digital temperature sensor with I2C interface in an 8-SOIC package. Identical function to the TMP275AIDGKR but in a wider SOIC-8 package, it provides 12-bit temperature resolution for board-level thermal monitoring.

The TMP275AIDR from Texas Instruments is a high-accuracy digital temperature sensor with I2C/SMBus interface in an 8-SOIC package. It offers +/-0.5C accuracy from 0C to 60C with 12-bit (0.0625C) temperature resolution. This is the SOIC-8 package variant of the TMP275 family, functionally identical to the VSSOP-8 version (TMP275AIDGKR). Operating from 2.7V to 5.5V with only 45uA active current, it supports up to 8 devices on a single I2C bus via three address pins. The programmable alert output enables interrupt-driven thermal monitoring.

The TMP275AIDR uses a bandgap temperature-sensing element generating a PTAT voltage, digitized by a delta-sigma ADC with 12-bit resolution. Temperature data is accessed via I2C read operations. The ALERT comparator monitors temperature against programmable T_high and T_low thresholds. When temperature exceeds T_high or drops below T_low, the open-drain ALERT pin asserts. The fault queue (1/2/4/6 consecutive faults) provides noise immunity. Configuration registers control resolution (9-12 bit), alert polarity, and fault queue depth.
