The STM32L152R8T6TR is based on the ARM Cortex-M3 processor core with a multi-AHB bus matrix connecting Flash, SRAM, and peripherals. The ultra-low-power architecture uses multiple voltage domains and power modes. In Run mode, the CPU executes from Flash at up to 32MHz. Low-Power Run mode uses the internal low-speed oscillator. Sleep mode stops the CPU but keeps peripherals active. Stop mode retains SRAM and register contents with sub-uA consumption. Standby mode powers down most of the device, retaining only the RTC and backup registers at 0.3uA. The LCD controller directly drives segment and common lines for glass displays. The USB interface implements a Full Speed device with dedicated packet buffer SRAM. The capacitive sensing module scans touch channels autonomously.
