The PJA63P02 is a P-channel enhancement mode power MOSFET designed for load switching, battery protection, and power management in a compact surface-mount package.

The P-channel MOSFET conducts when the gate-to-source voltage (VGS) is more negative than the threshold voltage (VGS(th)). When VGS exceeds the threshold, an inversion layer forms in the P-type channel region, allowing current to flow from source to drain. When VGS is near zero, the channel is pinched off and the MOSFET blocks current. P-channel MOSFETs are commonly used as high-side switches because the gate can be driven relative to the positive supply rail.
