The PIC24FJ256GB206-I/PT operates as a 16-bit modified Harvard architecture microcontroller. (1) The PIC24F CPU fetches 24-bit instructions from Flash and executes them through a 3-stage pipeline, achieving near 1 MIPS/MHz throughput. The 8MHz internal oscillator with PLL can generate up to 32MHz system clock.
