The PIC16F1937-I/PT is a Microchip enhanced mid-range 8-bit microcontroller in a 44-pin TQFP package, featuring integrated LCD segment driver and capacitive mTouch sensing module. The enhanced mid-range core with 49 instructions and 16 stack levels provides efficient C compiler support and program flow control. The 14KB Flash program memory supports self-read-write capability for bootloader implementation. The 96-segment LCD driver directly drives glass LCD panels without external driver ICs, supporting up to 24 segment x 4 common or similar configurations. The integrated capacitive mTouch sensing module implements charge-time measurement unit (CTMU) based touch sensing without external components, supporting buttons, sliders, and wheels. The 10-bit ADC with 14 channels and voltage reference handles multi-channel analog acquisition. Three Enhanced Capture/Compare/PWM (ECCP) modules plus two standard CCP modules provide flexible PWM generation for motor control and power conversion. The EUSART with auto-baud detection simplifies asynchronous communication. NanoWatt XLP technology provides low-power sleep modes. Packaged in 44-pin TQFP rated for -40C to +85C.

The PIC16F1937 uses Microchips enhanced mid-range 8-bit architecture with Harvard structure. The program memory stores 14-bit wide instructions, while data memory uses 8-bit wide organization across banked RAM and Special Function Registers (SFRs). The internal 32MHz oscillator (8x PLL from 4MHz or 16MHz HFINTOSC) provides the system clock. The LCD driver module generates segment and common drive waveforms for multiplexed glass LCD panels. Type-A, Type-B, and Type-C waveforms are supported for different LCD glass technologies. The mTouch CTMU module applies a constant current to the capacitive touch pad and measures the charge time; a finger touch increases the pad capacitance, increasing the charge time. The ADC compares the touch measurement against a baseline to detect touch events. The ECCP modules provide enhanced PWM with auto-shutdown, dead-band delay, and PWM steering for full-bridge motor drive. The EUSART transmitter and receiver operate independently with configurable frame formats (8/9-bit) and baud rate generation from the system clock. The power management module supports Sleep, Deep Sleep, and Doze modes.
