The PDS1-S5-D5-M-TR from CUI Inc is a 1W isolated DC-DC converter providing dual +/-5V output from 5V input with 1500VDC isolation. NOTE: This product is obsolete; use PCN1-S5-D5-M as replacement.

The converter uses an isolated flyback topology to generate dual +/-5V outputs from a single 5V input. A transformer provides galvanic isolation rated at 1500VDC. The 100kHz switching frequency allows compact magnetics. Short-circuit protection uses auto-recovery on 5V input models. The unregulated output requires a minimum 10% load for specified regulation.
