The O 25.0-JO53-B-3,3-1-T1-LF from Jauch Quartz is a 25.000 MHz HCMOS crystal oscillator in the JO53 5.0 x 3.2mm package with 3.3V supply and ±50ppm frequency stability over the industrial temperature range (-40C to +85C). The 25 MHz frequency is one of the most common reference clocks in digital electronics, serving as the standard MAC clock for 10/100 Ethernet and as a system clock for numerous microcontrollers and FPGAs. The JO53 provides the same functionality as the larger JO75 in a more compact 5032 footprint, saving approximately 54% board area. The stop function allows power-down during system sleep modes. Note: The JO53 series is listed as NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs); for new designs, consider the Jauch JPO53 (programmable version) or the newer JO33H series as alternatives.

The O 25.0-JO53-B-3,3-1-T1-LF operates as a fixed-frequency crystal oscillator with an internal 25 MHz AT-cut quartz crystal resonator, sustaining amplifier, and HCMOS output buffer. The amplifier maintains the crystal in oscillation while the output buffer provides a rail-to-rail HCMOS signal compatible with standard CMOS clock inputs. The stop function on pin 1 disables the sustaining amplifier when driven low, stopping oscillation and placing the output in high-impedance state with only 20uA standby current. The B code stability of ±50ppm includes all factors: initial tolerance at 25C, temperature variation over -40C to +85C, supply voltage variation (3.3V +/-10%), aging (first year), and shock/vibration effects. The 25 MHz frequency provides a convenient reference that divides cleanly to common data rates: 25 MHz / 2.5 = 10 Mbps Ethernet, 25 MHz / 1 = 25 MHz system clock, 25 MHz x 5 = 125 MHz for Gigabit Ethernet through an internal PLL.
