The MPX5700GP is a gauge pressure sensor from NXP’s MPX5xxx family that measures pressure from 15 to 700 kPa relative to atmospheric pressure. Like the differential version, it integrates on-chip signal conditioning, temperature compensation, and calibration for direct microcontroller ADC interface. The gauge configuration uses a single side port with the backside of the diaphragm referenced to atmospheric pressure. This makes it ideal for manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensing and boost pressure monitoring where the measurement reference is ambient atmospheric pressure.

The MPX5700GP uses a silicon diaphragm with piezoresistive elements in a Wheatstone bridge. The top side of the diaphragm is connected to the measured pressure via the side port, while the backside is vented to atmospheric pressure for gauge reference. Applied pressure deflects the diaphragm, causing piezoresistor value changes that produce a differential bridge voltage. On-chip amplification and temperature compensation circuitry process this signal to produce a ratiometric output from 0.2 V at minimum pressure to 4.7 V at full scale (700 kPa). The compensation network corrects for zero offset and span drift across the operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
