The MPX5700DP is NXP’s highest-range differential pressure sensor in the MPX5xxx family, measuring up to 700 kPa (approximately 100 psi). Like other MPX5xxx devices, it integrates on-chip signal conditioning, temperature compensation, and calibration for direct microcontroller interface. The piezoresistive sensing element uses NXP’s patented silicon shear stress strain gauge technology, providing a stable and accurate high-level analog output voltage. The dual side port configuration accommodates independent connections to both pressure sources for true differential measurement in demanding industrial and automotive environments.

The MPX5700DP uses a silicon diaphragm with embedded piezoresistive elements in a Wheatstone bridge configuration. Applied differential pressure across the two ports deflects the diaphragm, changing the piezoresistor values and producing a differential voltage from the bridge. This small signal is amplified and temperature-compensated by the on-chip signal conditioning circuitry. The compensated output is a ratiometric voltage from 0.2 V at zero pressure to 4.7 V at full scale (700 kPa), proportional to the supply voltage. The temperature compensation network corrects both zero offset drift and span variation across the full -40°C to +125°C operating range.
