It integrates 150m ohm/90m ohm power MOSFETs and operates at a fixed 500kHz switching frequency with forced PWM or PFM mode for high efficiency across load range. The device comes in a QFN-12 (3x3mm) package.

The MP9840GL from MPS is a 36V/3.5A synchronous buck converter with 2uA quiescent current, integrated 150/90m ohm MOSFETs, and 500kHz switching in a 3x3mm QFN-12 package.

The MP9840GL uses a current-mode control architecture with integrated high-side (150m ohm) and low-side (90m ohm) MOSFETs. In PFM mode at light loads, the low-side FET is turned off when inductor current reverses, achieving 2uA quiescent current. In FPWM mode, the converter operates continuously for lowest output ripple. The 0.8V feedback reference with external resistor divider sets the output voltage.
