The MC34072DR2G from onsemi is a dual general-purpose operational amplifier using quality bipolar fabrication with innovative design concepts. It offers 4.5MHz gain bandwidth product and 13V/μs slew rate without JFET technology. Particularly suited for single-supply operation since the common-mode input range includes ground potential (VEE). The Darlington input stage provides high input resistance and low offset voltage, while the all-NPN output stage eliminates deadband crossover distortion and delivers large output voltage swing with high capacitance drive capability.

The MC34072 employs a bipolar process with a Darlington input stage for high input resistance and low bias current. The differential input pair feeds a gain stage with active current mirror load, followed by an all-NPN class AB output stage that eliminates the crossover distortion common in complementary output stages. Internal frequency compensation ensures stability without external components. The output stage features short-circuit protection and can drive capacitive loads up to 10,000pF while maintaining excellent phase and gain margins.
