The MBI5026GNS-A from Macroblock is a 16-bit constant current LED sink driver with +/-1.5% current matching and open/short LED diagnostic detection in an SSOP-24 package.

The MBI5026 uses a serial shift register to load 16-bit data via SDI/SCLK pins. The LAT pin latches the shift register data to the output latch. When EN is active, the enabled output channels sink constant current through the connected LEDs. The current magnitude is set by an external resistor on the R-EXT pin. LED diagnostics compare expected vs actual output voltage to detect open or short conditions.
