The MAX6740XKZGD3+T is a low-power dual-voltage microprocessor supervisory circuit from Analog Devices in an ultra-small 1.0×1.5mm WLP package. It monitors two system supply voltages with factory-trimmed thresholds, includes a capacitor-adjustable watchdog timer, and draws only 3.7uA supply current. AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications, it operates over the -40 to +125C temperature range.

The MAX6740 monitors two supply voltage inputs against factory-trimmed threshold levels with +/-2% accuracy. When either supply drops below its threshold, the RESET output is asserted. The reset timeout period is set by an external capacitor. The watchdog timer monitors processor activity through the WDI input; if no transition occurs within the timeout period, RESET is asserted. The dual-voltage monitoring capability is essential for systems with core and I/O supply rails that must both be valid for reliable operation.
