The MAX3355EEUD+T is a USB On-The-Go (OTG) charge pump and comparator from Analog Devices that enables USB OTG dual-role device functionality. It integrates a charge pump for generating VBUS power and voltage comparators for monitoring VBUS conditions, supporting both Session Request Protocol (SRP) and Host Negotiation Protocol (HNP). With +/-15kV ESD protection on VBUS, it provides robust USB OTG connectivity for portable devices.

The MAX3355E integrates a charge pump that generates the VBUS voltage required when the OTG device acts as a host. Internal comparators monitor VBUS voltage levels to determine the current state of the USB bus (above session valid, above A-device valid, etc.). This information is used by the OTG controller to implement SRP (device requests session from host) and HNP (host and device swap roles). The charge pump can source up to 8mA to power downstream peripherals, and the device controls the VBUS enable/disable through the OE input.
