The LM324AMX/NOPB is a quad operational amplifier from the industry-standard LM324-N series by Texas Instruments. It consists of four independent high-gain internally frequency-compensated amplifiers designed to operate from a single power supply over a wide voltage range. A key differentiator is the input common-mode voltage range that includes ground, allowing the device to operate directly from 5 V logic supplies without requiring negative supplies. The very low supply current of 700 µA makes it ideal for battery-operated applications. The A suffix indicates tighter specifications for input offset voltage and offset current.

Each of the four amplifier channels in the LM324AMX/NOPB uses a PNP differential input pair that allows the common-mode input range to extend to ground, enabling true single-supply operation. The input stage feeds a high-gain intermediate stage with internal compensation capacitors for unity-gain stability. The output stage is a class AB configuration that can swing to within 1.5 V of the positive rail and essentially to ground, providing maximum output dynamic range in single-supply configurations. All four amplifiers share common supply rails but operate independently. The 700 µA total quiescent current is essentially independent of supply voltage magnitude.
