The Delta Electronics GK-06 is a high-performance AC power entry module from the GKE series that combines an IEC inlet connector with integrated EMI filtering. Designed for equipment requiring both power input and electromagnetic interference suppression, this module features a specially designed X capacitor providing effective EMI suppression for low frequency noise in the 150kHz to 500kHz range. The module is available with an optional bleeder resistor (suffix -R) for safe discharge of filter capacitors after power removal. With configurable Y capacitor options ranging from 100pF to 3300pF, the GK-06 provides flexibility for various EMI compliance requirements while maintaining UL, CSA, and VDE safety approvals.

The GK-06 operates as a combined power entry and EMI filter device. AC line power enters through the IEC inlet connector and passes through a multi-stage LC filter network. The common-mode choke provides high impedance to common-mode noise, while the X capacitor suppresses differential-mode interference. The optional Y capacitors provide additional common-mode filtering by shunting high-frequency noise to ground. The bleeder resistor (in -R variants) ensures safe discharge of stored energy in the filter capacitors when power is disconnected. The filter achieves insertion loss of 12dB at 0.15MHz, 20dB at 0.5MHz, and up to 45dB at 10MHz for common-mode noise.
