Based on the Realtek RTL8822CU-CG chipset, it supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac with 2T2R MIMO achieving up to 867Mbps data rate, alongside Bluetooth 5.0 with BLE support. The module uses a USB 2.0 interface for both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, simplifying host integration. The W1 variant is configured with three on-board antennas (two Wi-Fi + BT) without IPEX connectors, making it ideal for embedded applications where external antenna connectors are not required. The FG6222DUUC-W1 operates as a dual-mode wireless transceiver controlled via USB 2.0 interface. The RTL8822CU-CG baseband processor handles MAC layer processing, PHY layer modulation/demodulation, and RF control. For Wi-Fi, the 2T2R architecture uses two independent transmit and receive chains with spatial multiplexing to achieve high throughput. The 2.4GHz chain supports 20/40MHz channels (802.11b/g/n), while the 5GHz chain supports 20/40/80MHz channels (802.11a/n/ac).
