The TL084CN is a quad JFET-input operational amplifier from Texas Instruments, offering four independent high-performance op-amps in a single 14-pin PDIP package. The JFET-input stage provides extremely low input bias current (typically 30pA) and high input impedance, making it ideal for applications requiring minimal loading of signal sources. With a gain-bandwidth product of 3MHz and a slew rate of 13V/us, the TL084CN is suitable for a wide range of audio and general-purpose signal processing applications. The TL084CN uses JFET-input differential pairs at the input stage, providing high input impedance and low bias current. Each of the four op-amp channels consists of a differential input stage with JFETs, followed by a gain stage and a class AB output stage with short-circuit protection. Internal frequency compensation ensures stability without external capacitors. The JFET input structure allows the common-mode input voltage to include the positive supply rail, extending the usable input range. The device operates in voltage feedback mode with a typical gain-bandwidth product of 3MHz.
