The STM32F437VIT6TR from STMicroelectronics is a high-performance Arm Cortex-M4 microcontroller with FPU, running at 180MHz with 2MB Flash, 256KB SRAM, and 64KB CCM. The device includes a Chrom-ART accelerator for hardware 2D graphics, a TFT LCD controller with dual-layer alpha blending, Ethernet MAC with IEEE 1588 PTP, and USB OTG HS/FS. It is functionally identical to the STM32F439 except it omits the hardware crypto (CRYP) engine. The TR suffix indicates tape and reel packaging for automated assembly.

The STM32F437VIT6TR operates as an Arm Cortex-M4 microcontroller. (1) The Cortex-M4F core with FPU and DSP instructions delivers 225 DMIPS at 180MHz. The ART Accelerator with L1 cache and 64KB CCM SRAM enable zero-wait-state execution for real-time code. (2) The Chrom-ART accelerator (DMA2D) performs hardware 2D graphics operations including image copy, pixel format conversion, and alpha blending, offloading the CPU for GUI rendering. (3) The TFT LCD controller drives displays with dual-layer overlay. Unlike the STM32F439, this device does not include the CRYP hardware crypto engine; cryptographic operations must be performed in software or by an external secure element.
