The MP1470GJ-Z from Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) is a high-efficiency, 2A, 4.7V to 16V, 500kHz synchronous step-down converter with integrated 163mOhm/86mOhm power MOSFETs in a TSOT-23-6 package. It features current-mode control, AAM power-save mode, and hiccup overcurrent protection.

The MP1470GJ-Z from MPS is a 4.7-16V, 2A synchronous step-down converter with 163/86mOhm integrated MOSFETs in TSOT-23-6. Current-mode control provides fast transient response. AAM (Advanced Asynchronous Modulation) power-save mode maintains high efficiency at light loads. Features include internal soft-start, hiccup OCP, and thermal shutdown.

Uses current-mode control where the inductor current is sensed and compared to the error amplifier output to set the duty cycle. This provides inherent fast transient response and easier loop compensation. The AAM mode reduces switching frequency at light loads by skipping pulses to maintain efficiency. Internal bootstrap regulator maintains 5V gate drive for the high-side NMOS. Cycle-by-cycle current limit protects against overloads, with hiccup mode reducing average current during sustained faults.
