The LP2950ACZ-3.3/NOPB from TI is a 3.3V fixed 100mA LDO regulator with ultra-low 380mV dropout, 75uA ground current, and tight +/-1% output tolerance in TO-92 for battery-powered applications.

The LP2950ACZ-3.3/NOPB is a 100mA low-dropout voltage regulator with a fixed 3.3V output in a TO-92-3 package. The device uses a PNP pass transistor which allows very low dropout voltage (380mV typical at 100mA) compared to standard NPN-based regulators. The internal reference is a bandgap circuit trimmed to 1.235V, which is amplified by an internal resistor divider to produce the 3.3V output. The error amplifier continuously compares a fraction of the output voltage with the internal reference and adjusts the PNP pass transistor drive to maintain regulation. The device features extremely low quiescent current (75uA typical) that remains relatively constant with load, making it ideal for battery-powered applications. Current limiting and thermal shutdown provide protection against fault conditions.
