The C8051F350-GQR from Silicon Labs is a precision mixed-signal MCU featuring an integrated 24-bit sigma-delta ADC with programmable gain amplifier (PGA) supporting gains from 1x to 128x. The high-speed pipelined 8051 core achieves up to 50 MIPS throughput, while the 24-bit ADC provides 0.0015% nonlinearity with no missing codes, making it ideal for precision measurement applications. With 8KB ISP Flash, 768B RAM, 8-channel input multiplexer, two 8-bit DACs, and multiple communication interfaces, it offers a complete single-chip solution for precision instrumentation.

The C8051F350-GQR integrates a high-precision 24-bit sigma-delta ADC with a fast 8051 core. The sigma-delta ADC uses oversampling and noise shaping: the modulator samples the input at 2.4576 MHz, producing a 1-bit data stream that is digitally filtered and decimated to produce 24-bit output words at rates up to 1 ksps. The PGA amplifies low-level signals before the modulator, with gain settings from 1x to 128x enabling direct measurement of millivolt-level signals from sensors like load cells and thermocouples. The 8051 core uses a pipelined architecture executing most instructions in 1-2 system clocks.
