The AD5422AREZ-REEL from Analog Devices is a 16-bit precision DAC providing both current and voltage outputs for industrial process control. The current output supports 4-20mA, 0-20mA, and 0-24mA ranges, while voltage output supports 0-5V, 0-10V, ±5V, and ±10V. With ±0.01% FSR total unadjusted error and ±3 ppm/°C drift, it meets demanding accuracy requirements. The SPI interface supports 3-wire mode for simplified isolation.

The AD5422 receives 16-bit data via SPI and drives a precision current/voltage output stage. The current output uses a feedback loop with an internal sense resistor. The voltage output uses a separate output amplifier. Both outputs are protected against short-circuit and open-circuit. An on-chip 10 ppm/°C reference reduces external components. The CLEAR pin asynchronously resets the output.
