Working Principle:DS26LV32ATMX Working Principle

The DS26LV32ATMX contains four independent differential receivers, each consisting of a precision differential comparator followed by a level-shifting output stage. Each receiver compares the voltage difference between its A and B inputs: when (A – B) exceeds +200mV, the output Y goes HIGH; when (A – B) is less than -200mV, the output Y goes LOW. The wide common-mode range allows the inputs to be offset from ground by common-mode noise without affecting the differential sensing. The fail-safe circuit monitors the input common-mode voltage: when both inputs are floating (open circuit) or shorted together, the common-mode voltage drops below the threshold, and the output is forced HIGH. This prevents the output from oscillating or assuming an undefined state when the bus is idle. The 22ns propagation delay includes the comparator response time and output drive delay. The output stage drives CMOS and TTL logic levels with appropriate output current for driving multiple logic inputs.
