The 10 V rating provides higher voltage margin compared to 6.3 V alternatives, making it suitable for 5 V and 3.3 V power rails with additional derating. The Class 2 X5R dielectric offers +/-15% capacitance stability over the -55 to +85 deg C range. This is one of the most commonly specified decoupling capacitors in the electronics industry.

The CL10A106MP8NNNC uses Samsung’s CL-series standard MLCC construction with nickel internal electrodes and copper external electrodes with tin plating. The dielectric is a doped barium titanate (BaTiO3) formulation meeting the X5R EIA specification. The 0603 package accommodates sufficient dielectric layers to achieve 10 uF at 10 V through Samsung’s precision tape-casting and lamination process.
