The BZX84-B3V3 from Nexperia is a 3.3V Zener voltage regulator diode with +/-2% tolerance, 350mW power dissipation, and 85 Ohm impedance in a SOT-23 surface-mount package.

The Zener diode operates in reverse breakdown. When the reverse voltage across the diode exceeds the Zener voltage (3.3V), current flows through the device while maintaining a relatively constant voltage across its terminals. The tight +/-2% tolerance ensures the Zener voltage remains within 3.234V to 3.366V at the test current of 5mA. The low Zener impedance of 85 Ohm minimizes voltage changes with varying load current.
