Each channel features 40mΩ on-resistance (typ. 19mΩ at 25°C), 3.5A nominal load current, proportional load current sensing, and comprehensive protection including over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit diagnostics. AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified and ISO 26262-ready.

The BTS70402EPAXUMA1 is an Infineon PROFET™+2 12V dual-channel smart high-side power switch in PG-TSDSO-14 package. Each channel features 19mΩ typical on-resistance, 3.5A nominal load current at 85°C, and proportional current sensing with kILIS=1800. Built on SMART7 technology, it provides over-temperature protection with controlled restart, over-current protection with intelligent restart, open/short load detection, and under-voltage shutdown. AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified and ISO 26262-ready, it is ideal for ADAS domain controllers, body electronics, and instrument cluster power distribution.

The BTS70402EPAXUMA1 operates as a dual-channel smart high-side power switch. Each channel contains a power DMOS transistor, charge pump, and protection circuitry. The INx pins control the channel on/off state. The charge pump generates a gate voltage above the supply rail to drive the N-channel DMOS, ensuring low RDS(on) even at low battery voltages. The IS pin provides a proportional current sense output: the sense current through IS equals the load current divided by kILIS (1800), allowing the MCU to monitor load current via an external resistor. The DEN and DSEL pins enable diagnosis without SPI: DEN enables the diagnostic output, and DSEL selects which channel’s diagnosis appears on the IS pin. Over-temperature protection uses two mechanisms: absolute over-temperature shutdown for critical conditions, and dynamic over-temperature with controlled restart that reduces duty cycle during thermal stress. Over-current protection trips at 34-45A and uses intelligent restart to prevent MOSFET damage during persistent faults.
