The TPS6209733RWKR from Texas Instruments is the tape-and-reel packaged version of the TPS6209733RWKT, a 3A synchronous step-down converter with a fixed 3.3V output in an ultra-compact VQFN-6 (2x2mm) package. Functionally identical to the tray version, this variant is supplied on tape and reel for automated SMT assembly. The device operates from 2.3V to 6V input with DCS-Control topology for fast transient response and seamless PWM/PFM mode transition. The 2.5MHz switching frequency enables tiny external components, and the 17uA power-save quiescent current preserves battery life. The fixed 3.3V output eliminates external feedback resistors for minimal solution size.

The TPS6209733RWKR uses the same DCS-Control architecture as the TPS6209733RWKT. (1) DCS-Control: Combines voltage-mode control with a fast output voltage comparator for immediate transient response. (2) PWM Mode: Fixed 2.5MHz switching at loads above power-save threshold. (3) Power-Save Mode: PFM operation with 17uA quiescent current at light loads. (4) Seamless Transition: Smooth mode switching without output voltage disturbances. (5) 100% Duty Cycle: High-side MOSFET held continuously on when VIN approaches VOUT.
