The TPS4H000AQPWPRQ1 from Texas Instruments is an automotive-qualified quad-channel smart high-side power switch with comprehensive diagnostics. Each of the four channels supports up to 600mA continuous current with 500 mOhm typical on-resistance at 40V supply. The device integrates programmable per-channel current limiting (100-600 mA), open-load detection, over-current protection, and thermal shutdown with warning. An SPI interface provides detailed fault status reporting. AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualification ensures reliable operation up to 150 C junction temperature, making it suitable for demanding automotive body electronics.

The TPS4H000AQPWPRQ1 integrates four independent N-channel MOSFET high-side switches with associated gate drivers and protection circuits. Each channel is controlled by a parallel input pin for fast on/off switching. The internal gate driver charges the MOSFET gate from an internal charge pump. Current limiting is implemented by sensing the MOSFET drain current and comparing it to a programmable threshold set via an external resistor. Open-load detection uses a small pull-up current source to detect disconnected loads. The SPI interface reads fault registers providing per-channel diagnostic information.
