The TLC272CDR from Texas Instruments is a dual single-supply LinCMOS operational amplifier in SOIC-8 package. The device operates from a single 3V to 16V supply with rail-to-rail output that swings to within 10mV of ground. The 1.8MHz gain-bandwidth product and 3.6V/us slew rate support audio and medium-speed sensor applications. The 1pA typical input bias current and high input impedance of the LinCMOS process make it ideal for high-impedance sensor interfaces. The CDR suffix denotes SOIC-8 package with commercial/industrial temperature range and tape and reel packaging.

The TLC272CDR operates as a dual single-supply LinCMOS operational amplifier. (1) The LinCMOS process uses silicon-gate CMOS technology that provides very low input bias current (1pA typical) and high input impedance, making the device suitable for high-impedance sensor interfaces and transimpedance amplifiers. The output stage is designed for single-supply operation, swinging to within 10mV of ground without requiring a negative supply. (2) The 1.8MHz gain-bandwidth product and 3.6V/us slew rate provide adequate bandwidth for audio frequency applications (up to approximately 180kHz at unity gain) and medium-speed sensor signal conditioning. The internal compensation ensures stability with capacitive loads up to several hundred picofarads. (3) The 1.1mV typical input offset voltage (AC version) is suitable for most general-purpose applications. For precision applications, the TLC27M2 or TLC27L2 variants offer lower offset voltage at reduced bandwidth. The 1.9mA per-amplifier quiescent current is moderate for the 1.8MHz GBW, making it suitable for battery-powered systems with 3V minimum supply.
