The TB6559FG is a Toshiba full-bridge brushed DC motor driver IC integrating P-ch high-side and N-ch low-side MOSFETs in an HSOP16 surface-mount package with exposed heat sink tab. Supporting 10V to 30V supply voltage and up to 2.5A peak output current (1.0A average), the device provides forward (CW), reverse (CCW), short brake, and stop operation modes controlled by IN1/IN2 logic inputs. The control method is selectable between constant-current chopper mode (Vref 0-3V) and direct PWM mode (Vref 4.5-5.5V), with overcurrent and thermal shutdown protection plus an ALERT fault output pin.

The TB6559FG uses a full H-bridge configuration with four integrated MOSFET switches (two P-ch high-side, two N-ch low-side). The IN1 and IN2 CMOS/TTL-compatible inputs select the operation mode: IN1=H/IN2=L drives the motor forward (CW), IN1=L/IN2=H drives reverse (CCW), IN1=H/IN2=H applies short brake, and IN1=L/IN2=L enters stop mode. In constant-current mode (Vref 4.5V), an external PWM signal is applied to the OSC/PWM pin for direct speed control.
